Do you keep the eggs in the refrigerator door? Eggspert advice.

So practically all refrigerators offer the possibility of storing eggs in holes in the refrigerator door - but is this really the best place for such food?

The holes are offered to stack eggs in it, but eggsperts in the particular area of eggs are not impressed. Why?
The refrigerator door is actually the least suitable place for foods that require a constant low temperature: the doors are the warmest room in the refrigerator, where the temperature keeps fluctuating due to opening and closing, which of course does not allow optimum preservation of fresh eggs. In the door holes, store foods that do not get affected by temperature changes and have a longer shelf life. I mean when was the last time you ate bad eggs? Unless you keep them in the fridge for 2 months that’s not gonna be a fuckin problem.

And where to put those eggs?

Eggsperts advise that the most suitable space is the middle shelf in the refrigerator, and as far back as possible. If possible, in original carton packaging, since it best preserves freshness. And advice especially for those who are shopping by car: if your vehicle is heavily heated in cold months, keep your eggs at room temperature for a while, then store them in a cool place. They do not like sudden temperature changes! Also, they don’t like strong smells, so do not stack foods that could influence eggs on an emotional level next to them ok?

The best place to put them is in the place especially designed for storing fucking eggs. Why do we even need articles like this in our lives. I have to stop reading magazines!
